Our trip to Nawlins (New Orleans).

Thursday, June 8, 2017

We went on a little trip to New Orleans and the culture and history of it all were really neat to experience and learn about, but it wasn't the cleanest place - physically or morally. 😆  That being said we are very glad that we were able to meet up with some good friends of ours who are now living in the Bay Area of California for a few days. We had some beignets, Cajun food, took our girls to the Aquarium, explored the French Quarter, stumbled upon a gay pride on Easter Sunday, which is fine, except for the fact that some of the people on the floats weren't wearing much of anything. 😳  And we did a self-guided tour of Lafayette Cemetery (props to Heather and AJ for downloading that ahead of time). Kennedy's favorite part was probably when we rode on a trolley to get to the cemetery. She's obsessed with Daniel Tiger, so it only makes sense!

I would definitely recommend taking a trip to New Orleans because there is definitely so much about it to appreciate, but I think it's a one and done kind of a place as a family trip destination. Haha!
