Fathers, football and friends.

So maybe I'm a little over a week late to say this, but Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful men in my life!  I wouldn't be who I am without each of these guys and I love them oh so very much. Kennedy will for sure fall in love with these wonderful men, no doubt in my mind about that.

We were able to be in Childress for Father's day this year, which was a lot of fun!

Meet Coco...he's cute and innocent looking, but very destructive.

Allison enjoying a ride on the 4 wheeler!

Cole was playing in the dirt for a little bit. :)

Then he took Coco on a spin!

We had some yummy BBQ chicken, potato salad, beans and a yummy spinach and strawberry salad.

It was a beautiful day outside, so that's where we ate supper.

My sisters and I.

Homemade butterfinger ice cream. Always a good choice.

Kate's delicious homemade chocolate cake.

A couple of days ago I get this text from Cole...

And then this happened! I made him promise me he'd paint my toe nails when I was too pregnant to be able to do it myself and he kept his word.  He's the best, you should be jealous. :)

This one says "8-04" which is Kennedy's due date.
And this one says "KLG" which are Kennedy's initials.

He did pretty good huh?!

We've made some new friends here in Canyon, TX - the Barentine family! We go to church with them and we've really enjoyed getting to know them and their fun kids. Tip, Cassie, Pace, Shea and Jordin are their names and we love them!

Tip wanted to go to an arena football game in Amarillo, so we tagged along with him. Cassie, his wife, and their children are in Arizona visiting family right now while he's working so he's here by himself until this next week when he'll go out and join them for a little bit.

Life is good. We are so blessed.

  1. I'm in love with the toe nails story :) But I'm still trying to figure out what the rubber bands had to do with it.

    1. Haha well...I saw on Pinterest that you could use a rubber band to help do French tips, but he decided to decorate with a silver Sharpie instead, so the rubberband didn't get used. :)
