A letter to my dearest Kennedy Lou.

Dear Kennedy Lou,

Hi, I'm your mom (that's kinda weird to say). I just wanted to let you know that I am so happy you're going to be joining our family this summer. In fact, there's quite a few people who already love you more than you can even begin to imagine. I'm actually quite anxious for you to be here already. We've been going around to different stores and picking out all of the essential baby gear for you as well as things we think would look darlin' on you. We hope you like the things we've picked out for you. Please forgive us if you don't, we're kinda new at this.

Your dad and I listened to this song by Darius Rucker the other day and it brought smiles to both of our faces and tears to my eyes. We love you.

We get to go to the doctor tomorrow to see you on an ultrasound again, which I can't wait for. Last time we saw you, you were doing summersaults all over the place and you had your legs extended quite a bit. Your dad says you'll be a soccer player (or at least he hopes so). We just hope you're a healthy girl. I daydream about what life will be like when you're finally here and it gives me butterflies just about every time. I want more than anything to hold you in my arms, cuddle you, bathe you, make you laugh and tend to your needs. However, I want you to stay in my tummy as long as you're supposed to and as long as you need to.

As long as those two stipulations are met, just know that you are more than welcome to come join our family whenever you're ready.

Can't wait to see you sometime this summer.

P.S. I am in love with the fact that you'll be born in Texas. Trust me, that's a great place to be born and raised in. We'll just have to convince your dad of that.

With love,
