Kennedy Lou at 4 Months

Sunday, December 15, 2013

Our beautiful girl is four months old and more fun than ever!

Kennedy Lou, at four months you...

Weigh 13.3 pounds and you're 24 inches long, which means you're growing good!

To be exact, you're in the 30th percentile for your weight, 32nd for your height and 4th for your head circumference, which means you're petite, but that's kinda what we figured considering the women genes you've inherited. :)

You like to look at yourself in the mirror.

You love doing silly things with your tongue. You'll even stick it out at us when we stick ours out at you!

You roll over! Not like you're a dog or anything, but it's pretty impressive. :)

You are giggling more and more and it's so adorable.

You're getting better at somewhat sitting up on your own. You definitely need help still, but you're gettin' there!

You've been on your first plane ride and  you did really good. I'm hoping the same goes for when we fly to Texas tomorrow since I'll be on my own with you this time.

And as always we love you more than ever! Keep growing and keep being so lovable, please?

Your Mom and Dad

Our San Fran Adventure

Tuesday, December 10, 2013

So this past thanksgiving we were able to fly out to San Francisco and we had a blast! That's where Darin, Cole's dad, is currently working so he has an apartment out there and Lisa always comes to know the town like a local, so it was a real treat and a good time that we'll never forget! And I can't forget to mention that Kennedy did awesome on the flights there and back, which was comforting to me since her and myself will be flying to Texas this coming Sunday.

Apparently Kennedy has a pub in San Francisco.

Got some free chocolates and had some yummy ice cream at Ghirardelli Square!

Cole had to leave his mark among the other graffiti artists in San Francisco.

We went to the beautiful Japanese Tea Gardens one day.

This wrap has saved our lives on more than one occasion, that's for sure!

 Went to the beach!

Saw some really cool Redwood trees!

We had Thanksgiving dinner at a fun place on Pier 39, then walked around the shops.

And saw the lights at the Oakland LDS Temple.

We are so grateful for our many wonderful family members and friends and the other countless blessings that come to our little family!

Three month old Kennedy Lou.

Tuesday, November 26, 2013

This is waaaay overdue, but Kennedy Lou is three months old already and here's the update!

Kennedy at three months old you:

Laugh! It's so fun to finally hear that cute little laugh of yours. It melts our hearts every time!

You love to be sitting up so that you can see what's going on around you. Thus we invested in a Bumbo seat and you love it!

You've started teething so you gnaw on just about anything you can get your hands on. Literally.

And speaking of hands, you've gotten better control of them! You reach out for things when we hold them in front of you.

You've also started to notice the little details in life, like the butterflies and polka dots on your blankets and the patterns and colors on your clothes and those around you.

You're sleeping pretty good through the night. You wake up once around 4:30 or 5 to eat then go right back to sleep. That's something we'll be working on in the weeks to come for sure. :)

You also went to your first movie and you did pretty good! You watched Despicable Me 2 with your dad, myself and Aunt Madi and Uncle McKay.

And as always we love you and the beautiful little girl that you're becoming!

And just as an added bonus here are some more pictures of you during your third month of life.

Sitting in the Bumbo and gnawing on a cup we gave you. Just like I said before! :)

We smother you in kisses. A lot.

Kennedy Lou's Laugh

Wednesday, November 20, 2013

We finally got to hear the adorable laugh our sweet baby girl has been holding inside! And we even got it on film. If this doesn't make you smile I don't know what will! Enjoy!

It's the little things.

Did I put my iPhone in the washer with our sheets that were dirtied by Kennedy this morning? You betcha. Am I pretty mad and feeling pretty stupid about it? Oh yeah. In the big scheme of things does it matter? Not really. It's really the little things in life that matter most, which is a lesson that I feel I'm being taught right now. Like the beautiful sunflowers that Cole picked from the side of the road and brought home for me. Or the cute note he left me on the microwave another day. Or the adorable fat rolls that our beautiful girl has. Or the love that Cole, Kennedy and myself all share for one another. Those are the more important things in life.

And now I'm off to run my errands! Now with an extra "item" on my list of things to do...go to an Apple repair store. Cross your fingers and say a little prayer for me!

Our happy little camper.

This past Saturday night Cole convinced me to be adventurous and go on a last minute camping trip. You have to realize that I'm the type that has to have things scheduled and planned out in advance, so this really was a big deal for me to acquiesce, but I can honestly say I had a good time and would do it all over again! Despite the crazy wind, snow and our lack of sleeping bags...

Kennedy slept like a baby snuggled up next to me in a sleeping bag. Literally.

Cole and Mattie cooking breakfast.

Our good friends Mattie and Rachel that we had a blast with!

Happy Halloween from us to you!

Kennedy Lou, the modeling babe.

My brother-in-law McKay is quite the artsy fellow and asked if he could take some pictures of Kennedy Lou to help him expand his artistic abilities/portfolio, so of course we said yes! Here are some of the adorable pictures he got of her. I think we have a baby model on our hands! :)
