Bear Lake

Friday, September 21, 2012

Last weekend we were able to go up to a place known as Garden City, UT which is right beside Bear Lake. Some family friends, the Thomas' were kind enough to let us all go up and stay at their cabin that's right on the water for the weekend and we had a blast!

Thanks Thomas family!!

Cole and I had some fun on the jetski, even though the water was freezing and as if were weren't cold enough that day, we went to Glacier Lake and jumped into it from a rope swing. The water was so cold it took your breath away! Surprisingly enough...I did it! I still can't believe I did it, but I'm glad I did. :)

We even have video footage to prove it!

Can you see the dragonfly?

Thanks goodness for BYU football.

Although we've had some painful losses the past couple of weeks, we're SO glad to see the Cougars back on the football field! Fall is probably one of my favorite seasons because of the way the leaves changes colors here in Utah and of course because it's time for football!!

Touchdown by Michael Alisa! Cole is friends with him. NBD. ;)

All the siblings at the game!

Cole had to make a makeshift bonnet so help protect him from the burning hot sun that day. Poor guy...

The bonnet worked, but not having sleeves did some damage to his arms. All i got was a bit of a farmer's tan. Let's hope our kids get my skin... :)

LeBron & Lafawnduh

Friday, September 7, 2012

Meet LeBron and Lafawnduh. They're our black molly's and our first pets. They're so fun!! To me anyways...

Beginning of Fall

As you know, we've started school and boy is it rough. I think I remember this feeling...something called senioritis?

Senioritis is my diagnosis for sure because I applied for graduation yesterday! I'll be participating in the April 2013 graduation ceremonies, but I won't be completely finished until the middle of June because I have to complete an internship. It'll be all said and done before I know it though!

We've also been able to have some fun even though our lives are pretty much consumed with school work once again...

We got to go camping with our dear friends Heather and AJ!

I was pretty chilly, but it was still lots of fun!

Went to a free Peter Breinholt concert with Moosman and Andrea - so fun!

BYU FOOTBALL IS BACK! It's what keeps us sane during the school year. :)

Tyler Haws, Brandon Davies & Nate Austin. They're on the men's basketball team and they ROCK! Our seats were right behind them on the second row - NBD.

Hey look! It's Jimmer Fredette! Oh and his wife, Whitney.

Cole hadn't seen this guy since they were in the MTC together! So nice to meet you Moors! :)

And this would be us with Brandon Davies and Anson Winder. NBD.
So far that's about all that's happened since we've been back from Texas. Hopefully next time we post we'll be able to show you the "transformation" our bedroom has gone under - it looks SO good now!!

You can take a girl out of Texas, but you can't take the Texas out of the girl.

Since it has been a while that we've posted and since I'm patiently waiting for Cole to be home from class, I figured it was a good idea to say somethin on here!

As you know, we went to Texas for 9 days and boy did we love it! I'm going to let the pictures I have do most of the speaking. I feel like it's a better way of handing things. :)

We flew into Dallas where Madre, Jeff and the boys picked us up and we went to a Rangers game that night. What a way to welcome us - we'll forever be grateful for that! Thanks Madre and Jeff!

Madre was gettin some of the spray on Cole's ears. :)

Aric all ready to go cheer on the Rangers!

Cute little Austyn. :)

Our seats were SO awesome!!

Aric caught a foul ball during the warm up!

We made it on the jumbo tron!

The rest of the time we just relaxed with family and had a great time.

Cole got to go shooting one day!

Look how good he is! Whatta man. :)

We visited one of the ranches that the LDS church has cattle on and visited with some good family friends.

Triangle Ranch Sunset

Had some Braum's on the way to the airport with dad.
Flew back to Utah. Which, by the way, is MUCH quicker and better than driving!

I'll admit, it was pretty hard having to leave Texas, but believe me...we'll be back there soon!!
