Once a Texan, always a Texan.

Most people know that Texans have a lot of state pride. If you were from Texas you'd understand why, and you'd be crazy if you didn't feel the same way.

While at work today, I was informed of an article on CNN titled "Small Texas community stands by man who killed daughter's alleged abuser." Basically a father caught a man sexually assaulting his 5 year old daughter and beat him, and the individual ended up dying on the scene. Now to some, this may seem crazy and you may feel that justice should be served and the father should be arrested and put in jail, but guess what? He hasn't been arrested and chances are, he never will be.

In Texas there's a law that basically states that if you are in danger of being killed or severely harmed by someone or if you are put in a position to protect someone, you have every right to defend yourself using powerful force, which, might I add, includes shooting the person if they're on your property.

I myself do not see a SINGLE thing wrong with this and neither does anyone else in the community of Shiner, Texas where this happened.

Add this to my list of reasons why I love Texas. The people do what is right, no matter what the outcome may be.

I'm proud to be an American, and I'm proud to be a Texan.
