Almost There!

We only have 2 more days to go!

There are quite a few more things to get done before the big day, but the most important thing is that at 11:30 on Friday morning we will be sealed for time and all eternity in the Bountiful, Utah temple. We are so excited! My family got in today and it's so great to have them here and have all of us together.

What A Beautiful Mess

Tuesday, April 19, 2011

So now that Cole and I have both moved all of our belongings into the room that we'll be in it has been quite the mess! It's definitely lookin' better each day, but we still have a ways to go.

I'll admit it's been a little stressful that everything isn't put in its place just yet, but the more I've thought about it the more I realize I should be enjoying this experience! We are really starting to begin our life together. It's no longer a "me" and "you" kind of a thing - it's about US. Moving all of our stuff in has given us the opportunity to go through things and realize how much stuff we both have but don't really need or want. When I think I need something Cole makes me realize that I really don't and that someone else can benefit from some of my stuff more than I can. We really make a great team and we're both SO ready for these next 10 days to go by quickly!!

On another note,

We celebrated Passover last night with a Jewish family here in Midway! It was definitely an experience that I'll never forget. They were such a wonderful family and it was such an eye opening experience for both Cole and I. I realized that when you share something so special like the love for Christ and God with others, that you become automatic friends. What a wonderful thing!

General Conference, Family & Yummy Food

Tuesday, April 5, 2011

This past weekend was General Conference - definitely one of my favorite weekends in the entire year! It's nice to be able to relax, receive counsel and guidance in  what I should be doing with my life and enjoy time with loved ones, and it seems that every 6 months (when General Conference happens) is perfect timing of when I need a spiritual boost. I spent this General Conference with my love Cole and his wonderful family and it was great! We had many others things packed into the weekend since the wedding is a little over 3 weeks away, but all in all it was a good weekend! We made some yummy blueberry streusel muffins that I found on a food blog and enjoyed ourselves. Cole and I got to go to the Saturday afternoon session and the weather was SO nice! Then the girls went to Park City while we waited for the guys to be done with their Priesthood meeting and they met us at a place there called Maxwell's where we had some yummy pizza.

The yummy muffins we made!
