Remarkable Woman With A Remarkable Story and Testimony of Life and True Beauty

Friday, March 25, 2011

In case you didn't already know - I have a new found love of women's health. Maybe it is because I am a woman, but whatever the reason I love learning about health threats to women and what it is that women struggle with the most in life. I want to keep learning about these things and go out and help the women of the world know their worth to others and most importantly to our Father in heaven

This video is of an amazing woman, Stephanie Nielson who resides here in Utah, is a wife and a mother of 4. Her story is miraculous and so heart touching. Take the time to watch this video and listen to what she has to say and I promise you won't regret it.

1,095 Days - Innumerable Blessings

Wednesday, March 23, 2011

Today marks 3 years of me being baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

This may not be very important to YOU but it most definitely is to ME

Why is this such a big deal?
Let me tell you.

I have an even greater knowledge than I once had before of the love our Father in Heaven has for me and for all of His children. (That's every single person upon the face of this earth, just in case you didn't know).

I know that Jesus Christ died for me personally. For the mistakes I've made and will make, as well as for the sicknesses, pains, and sorrows that I will experience in this life.

I have the blessing of having the Bible as well as the Book of Mormon to read writings from prophets and experiences on earth so I can better learn to live my life the way God wants me to.

I know that each and every experience that I have in this life is for my good. Whether it is an amazing experience and I am happy or if it is something that makes me sad or angry - there is always something to learn and something that God is trying to teach me.

I have been blessed to come to a school in a completely different part of the nation that I was raised in to learn of both things of this world and of things that we are taught from the scriptures, the prophets of old as well as modern day prophets.

I have the blessing to listen to men of God speak many times throughout each year and have them give me guidance and counsel on how to survive in this crazy world that we live in today.

I can be with the love of my life, Cole Gordon, for time here on earth as well as for eternity in the life to come because we are going to get married in the Bountiful, Utah temple in 37 days.

Would you say that I'm blessed beyond reason because of the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life? I would most definitely say so!

I know without a doubt in my mind that I have a Father in Heaven who is always there for me to turn to. I know the Book of Mormon to be the word of God and I know that by reading it you can become closer to the Savior than you've ever been before. If you don't believe me, then maybe you should give it a try for yourself. I know that God has a plan for each and every one of His children and has given us SO much to be able to return to Him, but we are the ones that has to choose to follow the path that has been set before us and by so doing we will be happier than ever. Believe me, it happened to me and I know it can happen to you as well.
Thank goodness one of my best friends in this entire world, Savanna was not afraid to answer the questions I had about her religion that one night on the way home from a track meet 5 years ago.

Zags got JIMMERED!

Tuesday, March 22, 2011

So the BYU game this past Saturday was AWESOME! I'm so proud of our Cougars making it to the Sweet 16! Playing the Florida Gators may be a bit of a challenge, but I believe in our boys!! Whether they win or not they've had a great season and they've brought some good recognition to one of the best schools in America. Way to go Cougs!

This "We Are BYU" video really struck home for me. Mainly because the statement that's said in it, "their victories are our victories, their pain is our pain" is so true! Watching us lose has been hard, but when our team is on the floor hustling and shooting 3 after 3 it's one of the best feelings! Enjoy. :)

March Madness

Thursday, March 17, 2011

This time of the year is so exciting! Basketball is such an exciting sport to watch - especially if you're a BYU student this year! Jimmer has become nationally acknowledged and he deserves it! He's such a baller and he's a great guy. I love that he represents the school I go to! I really hope the Cougs make it pretty far into the tournament this year. The first game is tonight and Cole and I have our Jimmer shirts on ready to cheer on the Cougars! We're gonna watch it with our good friends Eric and Ariana and Ari is gonna make some yummy Persian food - it's gonna be great. :)

This year March has been extra mad because Cole and I get married next month!! We get married in 1 month and 12 days - so crazy! It's gone by SOOO slow but so fast all at the same time! We have literally been counting down the days until we are finally married. It's crazy how once you find the one you want to spend forever with, they're all that seems to matter. They become the most important thing to you and you can't think of yourself without thinking of them. I just love it! :)

Picture Perfect

Friday, March 4, 2011

Last night Cole and I went to Salt Lake City and had our engagement photos about FUN! We had a blast and it helped that our photographer was SO good! We get to see our pictures tomorrow sometime and we're so ready to see how they turned out. It was so fun cuz Cole and I just got to have fun with each other and have David Terry just take pictures of us being ourselves laughing and kissing each other a lot - as we always do. :)

On our way back down to Provo we stopped at IKEA. It was my first time to go there and I loved it! I loved how they had different setups of living rooms, kitchens, children's rooms and just neat home decor and furniture. It made me remember just how much I loved my interior design class here at BYU and it made me so excited to get to create a home of my own with Cole someday. :)

Being in love is an amazing thing. Especially when it's with someone who you feel has been made just for you. That's how I feel about Cole - obviously it's not always grins and giggles, but I'm glad that it's not. I am so grateful for him and all he does for me. Sometimes he treats me way too good, but I'm not gonna complain!

I'm in love with my best friend and I'm so glad we're getting to start a new life together! Just 56 more days til we're married! :)
